Our 316 stainless steel Table D backing flanges are the ideal metallic partner for HDPE and PE100 pipe in corrosive service. HDPE performs exceptionally in corrosive applications, so pairing it with 316 stainless, also known as marine grade stainless, gives you a flanged connection built to last in the harshest environments.
Why 316 stainless steel table D
316 offers much stronger corrosion resistance to salty and acidic environments than 304 stainless, which is why we manufacture our Table D flanges from 316 as standard. Used as a backing flange over a PE stub flange, it delivers the strength and pressure integrity of metal with resistance to pitting and galvanic corrosion.
Higher grades and coatings
Where the environment demands even greater resistance, we can manufacture from duplex or super duplex stainless steel, and can apply an additional anti-corrosive coating to the flanges on request.
Applications
