When to use an injection-moulded 90 Degree Elbow?

An injection-moulded 90 Degree Elbow is the ideal choice for pipeline configurations where space is limited and a sweeping radius bend cannot fit—such as in urban utility trenches, treatment plant manifolds, and pump skids.

Because they are fully injection-moulded rather than segment-welded (fabricated), these elbows retain their full pressure rating throughout the fitting, eliminating the need to apply safety de-rating factors in your pipeline design.

The Advantage of Injection Moulding & Long Spigots

  • Zero De-rating Factors: Fabricated or "mitred" bends feature welded seams that reduce the maximum pressure capacity of the fitting. Our 90-degree elbows are single-piece injection-moulded components, ensuring uniform wall thickness and uncompromised strength.

  • Elongated Spigots (Long Tails): The extended straight sections provide installation crews with maximum on-site flexibility. They provide ample clearance for easy clamping in Butt Welding machines or the seamless attachment of Electrofusion Couplers.
