Advanced Piping Systems revolutionizes pipeline construction with its cutting-edge Electrofusion (EF) technology, building upon the original Rollmaplast system patented by Swiss company Von Roll in 1977. An electrofusion socket/coupler, also known as an HDPE coupling fitting, serves the purpose of seamlessly connecting two lengths of poly pipe in a straight alignment. Moreover, these fittings are used for joining a long spigot fitting to a section of pipe. Our EF sockets are primarily intended for HDPE pipe applications and are manufactured from Virgin PE100 resin. The fittings incorporate embedded resistance (an energizing coil of wire) ensuring consistent melting for a robust electrofusion joint and reducing welding and cooling durations.  and are compatible with any barcode reading, or manual programmable welding machine. Please check the welding machine's capacity first, however, as large EF sockets have a higher current/amp requirement. Since our establishment in 1990, Advanced Piping Systems has expanded the EF system to encompass large utility piping systems. Our state-of-the-art 39.5 Volt Electrofusion System includes advanced features such as dual heating zones in giant 1-meter diameter couplers. This innovation allows for the seamless fusion of sockets, eliminating the need for mechanical joints and ensuring a fully fused, leak-proof system. Advanced EF sockets are available in up to 1600mm. EF Sockets can also weld range pipe classes. They can also be used as an SDR transition very effectively. Advanced Piping Systems' EF sockets are available in PN25 SDR 7.4 – 32mm – 400mm, PN20 SDR9 - 450 - 630mm, PN16 SDR11 20mm – 1200mm, and PN10 SDR17 from 355mm to 1600mm. SDR 11 electrofusion couplers are designed to withstand PN16 water pressure and 1000 kPa gas pressure, while SDR 17 counterparts are rated for PN10 water and PN6 gas.
